I hope that I can fulfill
my part in this new fangled way of sending the newsletter. I have really been
waiting for something exciting to happen so that I would have something to
write in an interesting letter. If I waited for that to happen I may be well
over 75 (by the way thanks to all of you for the Birthday gifts).
I was so glad to receive my
drivers license renewal, but yesterday I got a letter from the drivers license
dept and they said that they were going to revoked my license on January 23 rd
if I didn’t get the medical evaluation
from my heart doctor by then. Well I had sent that along time ago. Thank
goodness my doctor keeps these reports in my file after they are faxed to the
DMV. So they sent it again and asked for confirmation that they had gotten it.
I thought I would wait a few days and call to see if they had gotten things
taken care of.
Oh, my goodness I just
thought of something exciting that happened to me, not good, but scary. I went
grocery shopping Monday. It was raining and I had my umbrella up when I took
the groceries to my car. Trying to avoid the rain and get my umbrella put away
and take care of the groceries I got in the car and came home. When I looked
for my purse I couldn’t find it. I almost had a heart attack. I called the
store and told them that I thought I had left it in the cart at the store. The
gal I talked to had two employees go out and look for it. Thank goodness they
found it.
You all know that my purse
is my security blanket and I can’t believe I left it there. I told Rhea about
it and she said she did that once and now she always put her purse in the car
before she puts her packages in the car.
You can bet that I’ll be more careful from now on. Now I don’t want any
of you to start calling the funny farm because I checked with them and they
said that they would give me another chance.
I have been feeling better
since the doctor put me on a couple more pills. That was all that I wanted was
a few more pills to take. One of them I have to cut into four pieces to be able
to swallow it.
So much for this journal. I
am looking forward to reading all that is new to all of you.
